Vehicle Modifications Network (VMN) is a leading supplier of car, Ute, and 4WD parts across Australia. Previously, they used an all-in-one self-hosted e-commerce platform for their online store, which proved to be a bottleneck as it required multiple software packages from different vendors, resulting in multiple monthly expenses, limitations from each software, and complicated integration back to the website. To manage their large inventory and distribution efficiently and sync data in real-time to their e-commerce website, VMN decided to switch to Odoo. At One Click Media, we developed a fully automated two-step Pick/Pack process on their Odoo ERP using scanners for barcodes and label printers for shipping labels to ship orders quickly without manual data entry.

Since Odoo is an open-source platform, we could edit any field on products and add as many products as VMN wanted without any additional costs. Odoo also syncs up in real-time to VMN’s website, notifying customers directly with shipping details when their parcel is shipped out.

Bud’s Customs is an Australian company that produces high-quality 4WD equipment, components, and parts, and distributes them to 4WD enthusiasts through their large-scale e-commerce platform.

One Click Media was approached by Bud’s Customs as they were struggling to manage and communicate their production costs, manufacturing timelines, and cash flow forecasts through their existing online system. Fly N Guide are an Australian-owned fly-fishing retailer, selling customers gear, bait, and all the accessories they could ask for.

Their story is a classic example of how Odoo could automate processes in order to save them time and money.

Fly N Guide have retail operations in three different countries as well as distribution companies for various major fishing brands. As such, they were looking for a software platform that could automate the invoices and stock between their different companies and warehouses.

This would cause issues with orders. Depending on the product ordered, the customer location would depend on where the item is shipped. This caused a huge backlog of invoices and data entries between Fly N Guide’s different companies, making it challenging to transfer stock and keep the accounting team happy.

Unfortunately, there are so few multi-company solutions available off the shelf. These types of setups are typically done by big brands who have custom built systems costing hundreds of thousands of dollars. It was a problem Fly N Guide needed solved, but one which they believed they would never be able to afford.

One Click Media knew that Odoo was capable of managing multi-company setups. We also knew that Oddo charged no extra cost in undertaking a multi-company platform.

For less than $5,000, we were able to develop Fly N Guide’s Odoo setup to connect their seven entities seamlessly. They would no longer be tripped up by clunky invoice and stock transfers between their companies as Odoo completely automated their systems, saving them an average of 60 hours a month in accounting.
